Consultation

We invite & value feedback from you about the website and, from time to time, we use the website to carry out electronic consultation exercises. If you send comments to us via the website, we will collate your comments and your contact details for the purposes of the consultation only.

Registration of Medical Practitioners

If you provide your personal & contact details when inquiring about registration with LegalMD or otherwise, we will use that information for the following purposes:

• To process your enquiry or application
• To compile statistics for our internal purposes
• To send you relevant documents and our newsletter
• We may supply information to the Department of Health, Professional, Corporate, Education and Training bodies so they can compile statistics

We may retain details of your application on our files and may disclose that information to overseas regulators and elsewhere if required. If you are subsequently empanelled/ registered with LegalMD, we will use the information you provide us with for the purposes listed below:

• Updation of our database
• To share your contact details with members, corporates & institutions who wish to access your services
• Administer and maintain your registration details
• Process complaints, if any
• To maintain and compile statistics for internal use
• Keep you updated with information about LegalMD including guidance, news, etc.

LegalMD Members

If you are registered with LegalMD or are a LegalMD member, we will use the information you provide us with for the purposes listed below:

• Updation of our database
• Administer and maintain your registration details
• To maintain and compile legal records including past case history or any other sensitive information for internal use
  To maintain it for analytical purposes including to provide necessary consultation/suggestions, if required based on the legal reports of the LegalMD members
  In case you want us to delete your data from our records or not to be used for any purpose, please write to us with your membership details at info@legalmd.in

Disclosure

We may be asked to provide your contact details to the MCI, DCI, IMA, IDA, medical defense organisations, medical colleges, faculties & other organisations so that they can keep their records up to date. If you would prefer us not to share your registered address with these organisations please let us know by writing. In addition to this, we may disclose your personal information;

• to the extent that we are required to do so by law;
• in connection with any ongoing or prospective legal proceedings;
• in order to establish, exercise or defend any legal proceedings;

Grievance Redressal Officer

In case LegalMD members have any grievances in connection with the use of the website, a member may write to the grievance redressal officer at info@legalmd.in who is authorized to attend to any user complaints or queries, and may resolve any such matter within 1 (one) month from date of receipt of complaint

Website security

We are careful to guard the security of your personal data and the details of any transactions you make with us over the Internet. We ensure this by putting in place and carefully administering a secure IT infrastructure in accordance with industry standards and good practice. There are a number of things you can do to help protect yourself from Internet fraud:

• When you have finished your session, please log off the LegalMD website to prevent your details being seen by anyone else.
• To share your contact details with members, corporates & institutions who wish to access your services
• Clear any ‘cache’ so there is no record of any transactions left on screen – all web browsers allow you to do this.
• Close your browser so that any history of the session is cleared.
• As an extra precaution your session on many areas of our website will terminate if you have not used the site for 15 minutes

Future changes

From time to time, our policies will be reviewed and may be revised. LegalMD reserves the right to change its privacy policy at any time and notify you by posting an updated version of the policy on our web site. Any such change will come into effect only with an advance notice of at least two working days.

For the purposes of availing of the services offered by LegalMD or its group companies, affiliates or third party service providers, you are not required to share any confidential information such as account details, including, but not limited to debit card/credit card details with LegalMD or any third party service providers .In case you are asked to submit your confidential information including bank , credit/debit card , financial details, passwords kindly do not share and inform us immediately at info@legalmd.in
