Woman dies due to medical negligence

A 30-year-old woman died at a private hospital in Kanchanbagh on Tuesday.

The deceased, Shaheen Begum, a resident of Hafeezbabanagar, allegedly died due to medical negligence at the Lifecell Hospital, where she was admitted for delivering her fourth child.

According to the Kanchanbagh police, Shaheen complained of uneasiness in the morning and a few paramedics at the hospital treated her. As her conditioned worsened, the hospital authorities asked her family to shift Shaheen to the Modern Government Maternity Hospital at Petlaburj, where she was pronounced brought dead.


Her husband, Abbas, then lodged a complaint with the police, after which a case was registered.

Nayeem associates held

Five associates of slain gangster Nayeemuddin were detained by the Rachakonda police under the PD Act on Tuesday. They were identified as Md. Abdul Nasir, Bachhu Nagaraju, Kathula Jangaiah, Puli Nagaraju, and Saragada Hari. All of them were involved in heinous offences such as criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass, kidnapping, wrongful restraint, criminal intimidation, and extortion at gun point.
