He has alleged that he suffered severe burns after being given a bath in boiling water
A 62-year-old diabetes patient Rajendra Prasad has sued Rangadore Memorial Hospital in Basavanagudi for medical negligence. A case has been registered in Shankarpuram police limits. The complainant has alleged that he suffered severe burn injuries on his back after being given a bath in boiling water.
However, Dr. R. Rajkumar, medical director of the hospital, said it was the patient who used hot water. The hospital, in its statement, to the police said that the patient had pending bills and refused to be discharged from the hospital even though he was medically fit.
The hospital has alleged that the patient and his family are demanding a big amount as compensation when the hospital was not at fault.
