HYDERABAD: September 7, 2014: Alleging medical negligence by doctors of Krishna Hospital in Saifabad as the reason for the death of their month-old infant, a family lodged a complaint with the Nampally police. However, the police booked a case under section 174 (Suspicious death) of the CrPC.
On Friday, Mohammed Faisal, a businessman, approached the Nampally police alleging that his son, Mohammed Adnan, died after he was given the prescribed medicine by doctors of Krishna Hospital.
Adnan was born on August 3 and since then was suffering from health problems. "Due to his medical condition, he was moved from Curewell Hospital in Lakidikapul to Krishna Hospital, where treatment was given and he was discharged on August 6,'' Nampally SI Satyanarayana said.
According to him, the infant was brought to the hospital again on September 3 as he was suffering from cold. The doctors prescribed a few medicines, but the patient and his parents revisited the hospital on September 4 and the infant died on Thursday.
Based on Faisal's complaint, a case was registered under 174 (suspicious death) of the CrPC.
