An interesting examination scam got highlighted from the city Dehradun where some people tried to impersonate candidates during the exam. On the day of Uttarakhand Ayush Pre-medical Test (UAPMT), nine people got arrested who were appearing in the exam in the place of other candidates. UAPMT exam was held on Sunday, August 7 to get admission into B.A.M.S and B.H.M.S.
The arrests were made during the invigilation at Mahadevi Kanya Pathshala. As soon as the invigilators found suspected documents which didn’t resemble the authenticity of the real candidate, they immediately informed the police. Also, there is a possibility that strict action can be taken against the real candidates.
The arrested people were named Pramod Yadav, Sanjay Kumar, Ashish, Mahesh Gautam, Praladh Yadav, Amit Kumar, Rao Guddu, Basant Kumar, and Mohammad Salim. Among these people, Praladh Yadav is supposed to be the mastermind who is a student of a very famous college, King George’s Medical College (Lucknow). Police said he used to take a huge amount of around 2 lakh rupees from the candidates to provide solvers in the exam. He himself was appearing for the candidate Mohammad Adnan.
Basant Kumar who was there in Dehradun has also played his role in the famous Madhya Pradesh Vyapam Case. A case has been registered against him by CBI in Vyapam case. This would also lead to some more clue for the case.
Police said the investigation is also going on at some other places and they will try to dig further in this case. It is to be supposed that more arrest could come in coming days as it would lead to more links in other states too.
